This little lady is SUCH a doll! Sometimes it can be a tad difficult with babies in new surroundings and snapping away with this large camera! It can put some children off smiling completely and refuse to cooperate. This sweetheart though decided it was the perfect time for a lengthy conversation and she told me all about it. She made it through 3-4 wardrobe changes, headbands and constantly being moved and fussed over with no complaints. Little Miss can come and visit anytime!
I spent an evening chasing around these two little men at Buckskin State Park. Anthony is 7 years old and Mason is 3. If you’ve ever encountered boys at this age for any length of time you’ll know that getting them to sit still for even 30 seconds is near impossible! Haha! It’s so much fun though! Rather than try to fit kids into the normal portrait session mold of sit still and smile, I work with them and they’re personalities. We decided to meet on the river so they could have a chance to play on the playground and then spend some time in the water which always brings the smiles out!
In this first photos I asked them to give me their best super hero face. Haha!
This is what happens when you ask to little boys to pose when all they want to do is play! Still adorable though!
This handsome little man is Xander. Quite the fitting name since his parent’s names are Alex and Alex! He was such a little trooper for his first photo shoot but he absolutely refused to sleep! Apparently the photographer was far too interesting!
Look at this. A newborn baby, figuring out the world:

Such an adorable family! This portrait session was so much fun, chasing these little guys around. You’ll notice a running theme of typical boy uncooperativeness but we just rolled with it! It adds character to the photos and such fun memories. These family portraits were taken at the Campbell Ranch in Lake Havasu City, which I didn’t even know existed until this session. Believe me… I will be back. Such a cool place!
