Bonnie & Jeremy had a beautiful wedding in a friend’s backyard in Scottsdale. It was elegant with a touch of rustic. I loved their location choice for their first look and portraits and will be exploring it in the future! A good backdrop around every corner. The reception was all fun and games with a giant game of jenga, corn hole and a photo booth.
It was a relaxed atmosphere with a more intimate feel. Bonnie was stunning in a dress that had some va-va-voom! Such a beautiful day for a beautiful couple! Congratulations to you both!
Candy and Darin were a referral from one of my favorite weddings earlier this year so I knew from the start that I would probably love this couple! I was right! They’re so sweet and their wedding with all the details fit them perfectly. Beer in a bathtub? Check. Vintage lettering? Check. Badass tattoos? Check! The day was really relaxed and easy going. Family and guests were so nice and welcoming. We felt like part of the wedding and not just the hired photographers, which is awesome! Enjoy this little sampling.
A few weeks ago we flew to the Bay Area to shoot for a landscaping design company called Landsystems, which creates beautiful backyards like the ones below. Landsystems is based in Redwood City, CA with landscapes all across Silicon Valley.
This kind of photography is a little different for us. But I think they came out beautifully and really showcase the client’s work! I love the various elements that make up the sense of flow in these spaces. Sometimes we shot details: a column, or a plant, or a feature. But the wider shots really capture what is awesome about these properties: the combination of lots of carefully-chosen elements together. The company really knows what they’re doing.
Anyway, enjoy, and maybe you’ll feel as inspired for your backyard in as we did for ours in Arizona!
