I had a really lovely Mother’s Day weekend! Very relaxing and just what the doctor ordered. Saturday was spent working on a new project for my website! This photo is a still from some of the film we were taking. We hope to have this project done within a couple weeks, but at least finished by the time the bridal show rolls around.
On Sunday there was some serious pampering going on at an Aveda salon. They work magic. While shopping the boys were under strict orders to not even utter a single complaint because it was Mother’s Day after all. The real test of this was going to Ikea and I have to say, they did great! Haha! It’s a rather hellish experience for an 11 year old boy but I made it as quick and painless as possible. Dinner was peaceful and yummy and yes you can totally give me that margarita the bartender accidentally made.
All in all a good weekend and the first one I’ve had off in QUITE some time! Thank goodness!
This year I will have a booth at The Bridal Fashion Debut in Phoenix! I’m very excited about this and have been diligently building my booth (you’re going to love it). I just received 4 tickets to give away! The first four brides to send me a private message via Facebook or send me an email asking for a ticket shall be the happy recipients of this exciting gift! Not only is the bridal show amazing… You’ll get to see in person the amazingness of my booth design You have to send me a photo of your engagement ring to qualify (which is just a sneaky way for me to admire pretty jewelry).
This special wedding gets the honor of being my first post on my new blog! Melissa Wright Photography has just had an overhaul and we decided it’s time that I finally keep a blog! Haha! Better late then never right? I appreciate and love each and every one of my couples that I work with but I’ve known Hannah and Chris now for a few years. I knew them before they were even a couple! It has been a beautiful thing to see and I felt so honored to be given the task of capturing moments from their wedding day. These are a few of my initial favorites!
